Post-Divorce Life
Following his split from wife Lucy Beaumont, comedian Jon Richardson seems to have immersed himself in work. He is rumored to be among the celebrities appearing in a new BBC series, which has already completed filming.
At 41, Jon is reportedly participating in the celebrity edition of Interior Design Masters, set to air on BBC later this year. He is expected to join Martin and Shirlie Kemp, Leomie Anderson, Darren Harriott, and Joanne McNally on the series, hosted by Alan Carr.
A TV insider told The Sun, “The show’s been a huge success for the BBC. The bosses absolutely love Alan and now they’re putting an exciting celeb twist on the format. They’ve signed up some incredible stars who they believe will bring lots of fun while still maintaining their competitiveness. Martin and Shirlie are especially big sign-ups, and everyone’s hoping viewers will love their marital dynamic.”
This marks the first celebrity series of Interior Design Masters, which launched in 2019. The show features host Alan Carr and head judge Michelle Ogundehin searching for emerging talent in the interior design world.
The civilian edition sees ten amateur interior designers vying for the chance to impress Michelle and win a contract with a top hotel in the Lake District. Each week, contestants face a different commercial design challenge, critiqued by Michelle and guest judges.
Jon’s rumored appearance on Celebrity Interior Design Masters comes after he and Lucy Beaumont announced the end of their nine-year marriage. The former couple, parents to seven-year-old daughter Elsie, wed in 2015.
On Friday, 12 April, Jon and Lucy released a statement confirming their separation.
