Hemsworth’s Hero Moment
In a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the upcoming thriller Crime 101, Halle Berry has spoken out about a powerful moment of support from co-star Chris Hemsworth that left a lasting impression on her.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, and Hemsworth, 41, lead the cast of the film adaptation of Don Winslow’s gritty novella. Directed by American Animals filmmaker Bart Layton, the movie also features rising star Barry Keoghan and Oscar-winner Mark Ruffalo.
While promoting the film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Berry opened up about an incident on set that tested boundaries and revealed character.
“He stood up for me in a moment in our movie, and instantly I knew right then I’m gonna follow this guy, be a fan of this guy for the rest of his life,” Berry told E! News. “He didn’t have to do it and he did it.”
While Berry didn’t disclose the specifics, the anecdote adds depth to the duo’s evident off-screen camaraderie. Hemsworth, who is gearing up to shoot the next Avengers film, admitted to being “intimidated” by Berry’s legendary presence but called their collaboration “liberating.”
Meanwhile, Berry addressed fan speculation about her possible return as Storm in Avengers: Doomsday, set to begin filming this month in London. Despite the buzz, the actress was not listed among the returning X-Men alumni.
The upcoming film will bring back franchise veterans including Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), and James Marsden (Cyclops), along with Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) and Rebecca Romijn (Mystique). Kelsey Grammer will reprise his role as Beast, after a surprise appearance in 2024’s The Marvels.
As Berry continues to push boundaries both on-screen and behind the scenes, her latest role in Crime 101 and the real-life story of solidarity with Hemsworth adds another layer to her evolving legacy.
