Trace Cyrus has made a striking accusation against his father, renowned country artist Billy Ray Cyrus, alliging that the musician has initiated legal action against him. This revelation comes on the heels of Trace's previous public plea urging his father to seek professional help. He referred to Billy Ray's performance at Donald Trump’s Inaugural Ball as "catastrophic" and highly criticized. During the event, Billy Ray reportedly appeared disoriented, struggled with technical difficulties, and delivered a faltering version of his famous song, "Old Town Road."

In his emotional post, Trace did not hold back his feelings, expressing both disappointment and disillusionment with his father’s alleged behavior. “I will always love you, but I’ve lost all respect for you as a man,” Trace wrote. “The people closest to you are too afraid to tell you the truth. I’m not. You need help.”

Trace also shared a deeply emotional reflection on his relationship with his father, recalling childhood memories and his admiration for Billy Ray. He lamented the distance that has grown between them, stating: “We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew and hoping for the day he returns.”

While Billy Ray has not publicly responded, the family drama has drawn comments from other members of the Cyrus clan. Billy Ray’s son, Braison Cyrus, who is producing his father’s upcoming album, spoke to People, saying: “I don’t have any bad feelings toward anyone in my family.”

Adding to the tension, Billy Ray’s former wife Firerose, whom he divorced in June 2024, also weighed in, telling Page Six: “What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship.”
