KSI Slams McGregor
Social media sensation KSI has taken a shot at UFC star Conor McGregor, labeling him a disgrace after the Irish fighter recently called him out. McGregor, known for his larger-than-life persona, had earlier launched verbal attacks on multiple figures, including Floyd Mayweather and his old UFC rival Nate Diaz, but it was KSI's turn in the spotlight.
McGregor's recent outbursts included a challenge to Mayweather for a bare-knuckle fight, stating: "Fight me at my weight! I'm the A-side, and you owe me!" He also reignited his feud with Diaz, pushing for a decisive MMA match after their 1-1 tie. Amid these heated remarks, McGregor found time to call out KSI, ridiculing him for his viral single, "Thick Of It."
KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, did not hold back in his response. In a candid interview with Misfits Boxing, the YouTuber-turned-boxer condemned McGregor's recent behavior. “I feel like he’s a disgrace to the whole of Ireland, a disgrace to his family,” KSI said, sharply criticizing the UFC icon for his lack of notable achievements in recent years.
While McGregor has yet to return to the octagon since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier, KSI remains focused on his own career. Despite a hand injury that forced him out of a Misfits event earlier this year, he is eyeing big fights in 2024, including potential bouts with Amir Khan or even Mayweather.
As McGregor eyes a return, reportedly targeting a February fight with Dan Hooker in Saudi Arabia, KSI continues to rise in the world of combat sports, leaving fans wondering if a showdown between these two personalities could ever materialize.
