Strictly Champs' New Venture
Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, the dynamic duo who won the Strictly Come Dancing 2024 Glitterball Trophy, have thrilled fans with news of an upcoming podcast.
Despite their stellar victory on the BBC One show last month, McCausland, 47, and Buswell, 35, were unable to join the Strictly live tour due to scheduling conflicts. McCausland, the first blind contestant in the show’s history, wowed audiences alongside Buswell, who received widespread praise for her innovative and inclusive approach to their training sessions.
Now, the pair are turning their on-screen chemistry into a weekly podcast. Announcing the news on Instagram, the duo shared a lighthearted video and teased fans with the caption:
“Want more of this nonsense? Chris and Dianne are hooking up for a weekly publicly available catch-up, otherwise known as a PODCAST. First episode out in just four days!”
Set to debut on Thursday, January 24, the podcast promises unfiltered discussions, exclusive behind-the-scenes moments, and a nostalgic deep dive into their unforgettable Strictly final experience.
Although McCausland won’t be part of the Strictly tour due to his comedy commitments with Yonks!, he humorously quips, “Two decades of relentless work in comedy, and now I’m most famous for my dancing.”
Looking back on the triumph, McCausland dedicated the victory to anyone who’s ever faced doubt, stating, “This proves that with the right opportunities, unwavering support, and sheer determination, extraordinary things can be achieved.”
The title and platform details for their podcast will be revealed soon, leaving fans eager to tune in for more of the pair’s undeniable charm.
