Gig Ends in Injury
Renowned DJ and podcaster Fat Tony, whose real name is Anthony Marnoch, revealed he suffered facial injuries after an incident at a recent performance. The entertainer, who played at Lido Margate in Kent on Friday night, shared a heartfelt update on Instagram the following day, showing visible bruising and swelling on his face.
In his post, Marnoch explained he was treated at a hospital’s A&E department following the incident and expressed deep regret about canceling his Saturday show at No90 Hackney Wick in London. “I’m really sorry that I won’t be seeing you tonight, but we will reschedule everything,” he told fans, adding, “Big love guys I’m just gutted, really gutted.”
Despite the setback, Marnoch reassured his followers that he was following doctors’ advice to rest and recover. “I will be OK,” he wrote, “and I’m on the mend.” Promising to make up for the cancellation, he announced plans to reschedule the event for January and sent warm holiday wishes to his fans: “Happy Christmas everyone, take care of yourselves.”
Support poured in from friends and fans alike, with well-wishers including TV presenter Davina McCall, who commented, “This is terrible… Love you so much x (kiss). Call (you) tomorrow.”
On Sunday, Marnoch offered an update, sharing that he remained in pain and dealing with facial swelling but was being cared for at home by his partner Stavros Agapiou and their dogs.
A regular on the celebrity circuit, Marnoch is often seen at red-carpet events alongside stars like Gemma Collins and Claire Sweeney. While details of the incident remain scarce, Marnoch’s resilience and positive outlook suggest he’ll be back to doing what he loves in no time.
