Tory MP slams Vorderman for criticizing government
Controversial Tory MP Lee Anderson has recently attacked former Countdown star Carol Vorderman for her frequent criticism of the government. Anderson, who was recently appointed as deputy chair of the Conservative Party, appeared on GB News to express his displeasure with Vorderman.
During the interview, Anderson called Vorderman a "failing B [list] celebrity" and accused her of "trying to look relevant" by criticizing the government. He also made fun of Vorderman's age, suggesting that she should "get her bus pass out and go and enjoy life" instead of attacking the government on Twitter.
Addressing Vorderman directly, Anderson challenged her to prove that she is a "proper caring socialist" by giving away her wealth to the poor. He accused her of being a hypocrite who "jumps on any bandwagon that comes along".
Vorderman's recent criticism of Conservative politicians who do not disclose their political affiliation on Twitter has also been a topic of discussion. In a tweet, Vorderman pointed out that several Tory prime ministers, including Boris Johnson and Theresa May, do not mention their political party in their bios.
Despite previously working as an education tsar for David Cameron, Vorderman has been a vocal critic of the government in recent months. Her outspoken criticism has drawn the ire of some Tory MPs, including Anderson, who have accused her of being a "hypocrite" and seeking attention.
