Paul McCartney's childhood home
British rock musician Paul McCartney has opened his childhood home to indie artists so they can use it as a base for writing, performing and getting inspiration. This was reported by NME on 5 Apri.
As part of the Forthlin Sessions initiative, backed by the former Beatles' brother Mike, artists chosen by Mike will write music in the same place where Paul and John Lennon created their compositions.
It's worth noting that Twentieth House on Fortlin Road in Liverpool is where the famous pair of writers wrote such hits as I Saw Her Standing There (from the 1963 album Please Please Me) and When I'm 64 (from Sgt. Pepper's 1967 album Lonely Hearts Club Band).
The Beatles are a legendary British rock band from Liverpool, which was founded by John Lennon in 1960.
It is worth noting that the band is recognised as one of the most successful rock bands in the history of music both commercially and creatively.
However, after the official break-up in 1970, each of the musicians went on to have an independent career. John Lennon was murdered outside his own house in 1980. George Harrison died of cancer in 2001. Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney currently continue to make music.
