Photo London 2022
According to Time Out London, Photo London, one of the biggest events in the field, will take place at Somerset House from 12-15 May.
The final version of the programme was approved the other day. The exhibition will feature 106 images from 18 countries, embodying photography in all its forms, from images of the light pioneers of the 1850s to new works that are changing the way photography is viewed.
Fair founders Michael Benson and Fariba Farshad said the aim of Photo London has always been to showcase the best of photography's past, present and future.
This year the fair will feature Magnum Photos, Lee Miller Archives, Goodman Gallery and Christophe Guye Galerie. Visitors will also be able to see work by the likes of Richard Avedon, Wolfgang Tillmans and Martin Parr. It is worth noting that you will also be able to purchase photographs.
Every year the fair chooses one artist to be celebrated as a "master photographer" and puts on a special exhibition of his work, and this year that honour has gone to photographer and director Nick Knight.
In addition to the exhibition, there are a range of events including workshops and talks by photographers such as Melanie Manchot, Conor McDonnell and Polly Braden.
