Biography

Matt Tebbutt is a British chef and television presenter best known for his work on programmes including BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped and Drop Down Menu, and the Good Food channel’s Market Kitchen. He has become a familiar face on British television through his mix of professional cooking experience and presenting work.

Tebbutt trained at Leith’s School of Food and Wine in London before beginning his career in some of the capital’s leading restaurants. He worked with Marco Pierre White at the Oak Room and Criterion, as well as with chef Alastair Little, whom Tebbutt has described as a major influence on his cooking style.

Away from television, Tebbutt spent many years running The Foxhunter restaurant in Nant-y-derry with his wife. He later stepped away from the restaurant to concentrate more fully on his growing television career, which has since made him one of the best-known food presenters in the UK.
