Len Goodman's Legacy Lives On

Kevin Clifton, a former alum of Strictly Come Dancing, recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of returning to the popular BBC competition in the future.

Clifton, who left Strictly in 2020 after winning the show in 2018 with Stacey Dooley, reflected on his experience and expressed interest in rejoining the show for a special tribute to the late Len Goodman, if such an event were organized for the 2023 series.

In a recent interview with Metro for his episode of Who Do You Think You Are?, Clifton spoke fondly of Goodman, emphasizing his admiration for the former judge and his role as a mentor. Clifton described Goodman as "wicked" and highlighted his down-to-earth nature, referring to him as the "daddy of Strictly."

Goodman sadly passed away earlier this year in April at the age of 78 after battling bone cancer. Clifton, like many others, paid tribute to the respected judge, expressing his gratitude for the guidance and advice he received from Goodman throughout his career.

In an Instagram post, Clifton wrote, "Len Goodman judged me in competitions since I was a kid. On my first day at @bbcstrictly, I asked him for any advice, and he said, 'Just enjoy every moment. Don't get too big for your boots and take it for granted because we're just a bunch of ballroom dancers trying to make our way, and this is the biggest opportunity that's ever happened for us.'"

Strictly Come Dancing, the popular dance competition, airs on BBC One, while its spin-off show, Strictly: It Takes Two, can be enjoyed on BBC Two. Both shows are available for streaming on BBC iPlayer, allowing fans to catch up on their favorite moments and performances.
