Festival in London
This Bright Land, a vibrant and colourful summer festival organised by Somerset House, will take place in London from 1 to 29 August. It's "a new cultural festival that will take place in the heart of the capital and bring together people from different communities," according to the Somerset House website.
It's worth noting that the time of This Bright Land will feature fun day and night concerts, dancing, discussions and many other events designed to bring together famous creative people and fans of mass events.
The highlight of the festival will be a huge Ferris wheel, which will soar 35 metres above the famous courtyard. The wheel's booths will offer magnificent views in all directions. Friday nights will feature parties with bands such as Daytimers, Nine Nights, ESEA Sisters and Movimientos.
Saturday evenings there will be open-air themed balls by Vogue Rites. Sunday afternoons will be dedicated to family events such as treasure hunts and street parties. The full programme will be published later this month.
The festival will take place from 1 to 29 August from 12:00pm to 10:30pm in the Strand, London WC2R 1LA.
According to the official Somerset House website, tickets for the festival will cost up to £22.50.
