Scarlett Moffatt Devastated After Mother-in-Law Janice Dies

Family Tragedy Hits Scarlett

Scarlett Moffatt has paid tribute to her fiancé Scott Dobinson’s mother, Janice, after two family deaths within weeks.

The County Durham TV star shared a photograph following Janice’s funeral and wrote: “Today we said goodbye to Jude’s Nan Jan.”

Scarlett, who found fame on Channel 4’s Gogglebox and won I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2016, said Janice had been a loving grandmother to her two-year-old son Jude and a kind, supportive mother-in-law.

She also praised Janice for raising Scott, a police officer, and his brother, describing both men as a reflection of their mother’s character.

Scarlett and Scott are engaged and expecting their second baby boy. She said she was heartbroken that Janice would not meet her new grandson, but took comfort in believing she was now at peace and watching over the family.

The loss came shortly before Scarlett announced the death of her paternal grandfather, Grandad Moffatt. She thanked followers for supporting the family through both bereavements and said Jude had helped to keep them smiling.

Scarlett later worked with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on Ant Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, after they presented the series of I’m a Celebrity that she won.
