Susan Boyle Misses Boston Event After Travel Setback
Susan Boyle has been forced to withdraw from a scheduled charity appearance in Boston after her manager was told not to board a flight following dental treatment.
The 65-year-old Scottish singer had been booked for the David Yarrow Foundation event on Friday 12th June. The evening was expected to feature several Scottish performers as attention turned to Scotland’s upcoming World Cup appearance.
Boyle addressed the change in plans on Facebook, telling followers: “I'm so sorry to say that I will no longer be travelling to Boston for the David Yarrow Foundation event. Due to unforeseen circumstances following a dental procedure, my manager has been advised not to fly, which sadly means we're unable to make the journey.”
Her message led to questions from some fans, who wondered why the trip depended on her manager’s ability to travel. Others responded with supportive comments and wished the singer’s team a quick recovery.
The news lands during a visible new chapter for Boyle, more than 15 years after her breakthrough on Britain’s Got Talent. Her 2009 rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables, performed in front of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, became one of British television’s standout talent-show moments.
Boyle has recently attracted attention for a noticeably different public image. In new social media posts, she appeared with a blonde bob, faux fur coat and brown velour tracksuit, prompting speculation about whether a music release could follow.
Instead, the renewed spotlight is linked to a commercial project. Boyle has joined Cornetto for “Just One Cornetto (reMAXed),” a dance-focused update of the ice cream brand’s familiar advertising song.
The campaign drew reaction from Katy Perry and PinkPantheress on Instagram, giving Boyle’s return an extra burst of celebrity attention. While her Boston performance is no longer happening, her latest media moment continues to keep her in the showbiz conversation.
