Harry’s Ring Missing
Zoë Kravitz put fashion at the center of her latest Met Gala appearance, but it was one missing accessory that quickly became the night’s talking point.
The actress and model, 37, arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 4, shortly after reports surfaced that she is engaged to Harry Styles. Kravitz walked the carpet in a black lace Saint Laurent gown by Anthony Vaccarello, leaning into the evening’s high-fashion mood while keeping her styling characteristically sharp. Vogue reported that the look was a black, unlined guipure-lace Saint Laurent gown, paired with Jessica McCormack jewelry and black Romy slingback pumps.
Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny Kravitz, attended the event with Vaccarello rather than Styles. The Saint Laurent creative director was already part of the evening’s fashion narrative, with Kravitz serving on the Met Gala host committee. The 2026 event, overseen by longtime Met Gala figure Anna Wintour, centered on the theme Fashion Is Art and the Costume Institute exhibition Costume Art.
Still, attention soon shifted from the gown to Kravitz’s left hand. Photographers and fans noticed that the engagement ring reportedly linked to Styles was not visible on the carpet. At points, Kravitz appeared to keep her hand partly concealed, which only intensified online speculation about whether she had chosen to leave the ring off for the night or was simply avoiding making the jewelry the focus of her appearance. Entertainment Weekly also noted that she attended solo and kept her left hand obscured during the event.
The online reaction was immediate, with one fan asking: “No ring, omfg?”
The ring has reportedly been valued at around $1 million (£740,000), although exact details have not been publicly confirmed. People reported that experts have speculated the piece may feature a five- to six-carat cushion-cut diamond in a yellow gold bezel setting, while noting that full details remain undisclosed.
Kravitz and Styles were first linked in 2025 and reportedly became engaged in April 2026. Kravitz was previously engaged to Channing Tatum and married to Karl Glus, while Styles was earlier linked to Taylor Russell.
Kravitz has not publicly commented on the ring speculation, leaving her Met Gala appearance to fuel continued interest in the reported engagement.
