Interest in his personal life intensified in October 2025, when rumors began circulating that he was romantically linked to Ortega, 23, following her appearance in the music video for his track “Mona Lisa.” Since then, the pair have reportedly been spotted together in multiple cities, including Copenhagen and Dublin.

However, attention has shifted to past controversies surrounding the musician. A March 2021 interview with Pitchfork revisited criticism of Iceage’s early aesthetic, which included the use of “quasi-fascist imagery” and the curation of a festival lineup that featured an act with a racially insensitive name. In late 2023, the actress exited the Scream franchise following the dismissal of her co-star Melissa Barrera, who had posted comments about the Israel-Hamas war, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
