Gemma’s Tearful Return

The upcoming all-stars edition of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa has unveiled its first trailer, offering an early look at returning contestant Gemma Collins in visibly intense moments.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star is seen breaking down in tears during a Bush Telegraph segment, at one point exclaiming, “you’re trying to kill me.” In another sequence, Collins struggles through a demanding eating trial, appearing to wretch as the challenge unfolds.

Collins, now 45, previously became one of the most talked-about contestants in the franchise after her brief 72-hour stint on the original series in 2014. Her return places her among 11 former campmates selected for the All Stars format, which revisits standout personalities from the show’s history.

The revival builds on the enduring popularity of the long-running ITV format, originally hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, whose presenting partnership has become synonymous with the franchise. The South Africa spin-off also follows the broader global success of the format created by Charlie Parsons, whose reality concepts have shaped modern entertainment television.

Filmed in September 2025, the new series is scheduled to premiere on 6 April. Unlike previous pre-recorded spin-offs, it will conclude with a live final, allowing viewers to vote and determine the winner in real time.
