Dec’s Property Powerplay
TV favourite Declan Donnelly is marking a lucrative new chapter with Ant McPartlin by quietly expanding his West London footprint—buying a third home on the very same street he already dominates.
Fresh from signing a reported £30 million ITV deal, Dec has added a neighbouring property to his portfolio, sitting alongside his £7 million main residence and a second house he picked up three years ago for £2.25 million. While the latest purchase price has not been disclosed, comparable homes nearby are changing hands for around £2.5 million.
Planning documents submitted to the local council by Dec’s wife, Ali Astall, revealed proposals for alterations including a side extension and new gate—bringing the acquisition to light. Locals are said to be pleased with the purchase, as the house had previously fallen into disrepair.
The new property currently consists of two flats, and it remains unclear whether Dec intends to merge, renovate, or eventually sell. His original seven-bedroom home, bought in 2006 for £1.9 million, has more than tripled in value after major upgrades such as a private cinema, swimming pool and steam room. He lives there with Ali and their children, Isla Donnelly and Jack Donnelly.
Once neighbours themselves, Ant has since moved on following his divorce from Lisa Armstrong. He now lives in a £6 million South West London home with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, with the couple reportedly considering another move.
Professionally, the Geordie duo’s new three-year agreement keeps them at ITV until 2028, each earning a reported £5 million per year—almost 30 years after joining the channel to front SM:TV. Their packed slate includes Ant and Dec's Limitless Win, Britain's Got Talent, I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, and the returning I'm A Celebrity South Africa.
Reflecting on the milestone, Dec said: “We’re so lucky to work on some of the biggest and best TV shows and we’re proud of what we have achieved together with ITV over the years.”
ITV’s content chief Kevin Lygo has also welcomed the renewal, which cements one of British television’s most enduring partnerships—one that began with shared London digs and has since extended to neighbouring holiday homes in the Algarve.
