Reunion No-Show Explained
Alex Scott is set to miss the official I’m a Celebrity… Coming Out reunion, with her absence understood to be linked to a serious family emergency affecting her partner, Jess Glynne.
The former Lioness made a swift return to the UK after becoming the first contestant voted out of the jungle, skipping both the live final and the traditional cast wrap celebrations. Her early departure coincided with a deeply challenging period for Glynne’s family, after her mother suffered a major stroke and required urgent brain surgery.
Fans first questioned Scott’s absence when she failed to appear on the show’s iconic bridge walk, prompting Glynne to explain the situation publicly. In a message shared online, the singer said: “Over the last few weeks, my mum suffered a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery.”
While Scott has since reflected positively on her time in camp, she has also been candid about her disappointment with how her journey was portrayed on screen. Despite forming close bonds and embracing the lighter moments of jungle life, she feels much of her personality and key relationships were left on the cutting room floor due to the constraints of the edit.
Since leaving the show, Scott has yet to reunite with her fellow campmates, choosing instead to remain close to home to support Glynne during the ongoing family crisis. As a result, she is not expected to attend Saturday night’s reunion episode.
I’m a Celebrity… Coming Out airs on ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday, December 13 at 9:05pm.
