Caroline’s Truth Uncovered
Heartbreaking new details from Caroline Flack’s final days have been revealed in Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth, a forthcoming Disney+ documentary exploring the beloved presenter’s tragic final months.
The Love Island host, who died by suicide in February 2020 at age 40, had been awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend when her mental health began to collapse under intense public scrutiny. An inquest later heard that Flack was “hounded” by sections of the press, a pressure her family says became unbearable.
In the two-part series, Caroline’s mother, Christine Flack, retraces her daughter’s final steps — from the devastating fallout after her arrest to her struggle with relentless media attention. Speaking candidly about her decision to share Caroline’s private messages and recordings, Christine says:
“The worst thing in the world has happened. My daughter has died. As a parent, we think our children are always gonna be there. I want justice for my daughter.”
The documentary features previously unheard voice notes and texts that capture Caroline’s despair and confusion, revealing a woman trapped in the glare of celebrity and public judgment.
Produced with the family’s consent, Search for the Truth also examines how the Crown Prosecution Service initially recommended caution rather than prosecution — a decision later challenged by the Metropolitan Police, who have since apologised to the Flack family for their handling of the case.
Through interviews, unseen footage, and Christine’s emotional journey, the series aims to confront the systemic failures, media harassment, and institutional silence that shaped Caroline’s final days — and to reclaim the story from the speculation that once surrounded it.
