Jonathan Ross Ends Feud
Jonathan Ross has set the record straight about his relationship with Celebrity Traitors co-star Ruth Codd, following speculation that tensions flared between them during the BBC show.
Fans will remember the dramatic moments inside the castle, when the Irish actor accused Ross of being one of the secret Traitors — only to later be “murdered” by him and the rest of the group. Off-screen, Codd was reportedly less than impressed, branding him a “f***ing snake” after her elimination.
Now, Ross has revealed that the two have since spoken and cleared the air. Speaking on his Reel Talk podcast, he insisted there’s no lingering tension: “I’ve spoken to them both since and all our lives are different but I think certainly we were friendly when we met, so there’s no beef there,” he said.
The broadcaster went on to share that he’s kept in touch with several other castmates, including Mark Bonnar and Tameka Empson, and even struck up new friendships along the way. “Tameka I’ve become very friendly with,” Ross added, explaining that the two occasionally chat in the cast’s group thread.
While Ross had known some celebrities — such as Charlotte Church, Stephen Fry, and Alan Carr — long before filming, others were entirely new connections. “Mark Bonnar I hadn’t met before and we got on very well,” he said, noting they’ve remained in touch since the show wrapped.
It seems the bonds forged during Celebrity Traitors have lived on beyond the castle walls. The cast’s WhatsApp group, set up by Ross himself and humorously named “Traitors Aren’t Evil, They’re Just Misunderstood”, is still buzzing with activity. According to fellow contestant Kate Garraway, even though host Claudia Winkleman was invited to join, she politely declined — but that hasn’t stopped the chat from “popping off all day and night.”
